Columbus, Ohio (May 19, 2020) 3SG Plus, a technology solutions provider of document scanning, conversion, and enterprise content services, today announced that Angelo Mazzocco has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Kumar Buvanendaran, who has been driving the direction and leadership for 3SG Plus, will remain as Executive Chairman. Mazzocco began his employment with 3SG Plus, May 18, 2020.
With a three-decade career in information systems and business management, Mazzocco brings a wealth of expertise to this role, having served as Executive Officer/President, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Operating Officer for several organizations in the technology and healthcare sectors. Mazzocco’s in-depth understanding of the technology industry, business operations, and effective execution of growth for profitability will be an asset as he provides renewed leadership to 3SG Plus.

Embedded in the Ohio IT community, Mazzocco is a co-founder of the Central Ohio-based CIO Forum, a network of chief information officers dedicated to keeping companies’ systems safe while providing a network of brainpower to support the continued growth of the IT community. CIO Forum began with a handful of members in 1997 and now attracts over 160 of the region’s top technology executives. A spin-off from the CIO Forum is the GroundWork group, a nonprofit created in 2006 to provide technology services to other nonprofits.
The consummate mentor and educator, Mazzocco has been an adjunct instructor at Otterbein University and the Ohio State University for more than 30 years. In 2002, he co-founded CIO Tomorrow, an annual day-long conference aimed at educating and connecting technology leaders throughout the Columbus region. Today, the annual conference sees more than 500 attendees from all technology sectors.
A thought-leader in the technology space, Mazzocco has been featured in numerous digital magazines and podcasts including the Chief Data Officer Magazine and ComSpark. He has been recognized for his professional accomplishments and his contributions to the community and the industry having received nearly 15 awards including Columbus Business First’s Top 20 People to Know in Technology in Central Ohio.
Mazzocco earned his Master’s in Business Administration in Marketing and Information Systems from the University of Dayton, Dayton Ohio, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Actuarial and Computer Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana Pennsylvania.
